SEO Services Plymouth

posted by David
Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Some SEO’s offer services that are nothing more than nonsense – many website design companies add SEO on as a cash cow yet don’t “know” SEO , every decent SEO service has had to clean up a mess by these types of unscrupulous business people. But there are a ton of professionals out their helping people and businesses to the internet in many ways – helping them out of the Yellow Pages mire and local newspaper ads that no-one reads  thus saving  their businesses and livelihood.

The best SEO professionals I know are solo operators and can’t work in a stifling, brain numbing environment – most of the best are intense, clever, funny, entrepreneurial scatterbrains that really do work and think on a different level than the scammers out there.

The best SEO’s keep coming up with new, fresh ways to work and don’t harp on about SEO as some mystical art form – they just look for challenges and “new stuff”.

If you interview an SEO candidate and they keep harping on about “keywords” – be careful. Keywords are just that – we prefer key phrases or key search terms – we prefer unusual words – we love analytics and thinking outside the old brain box – good SEO’s try and get into customers minds and are always listening to chatter, watching trends and many, many other “brain triggers”

Elizabeth and I can be shopping (or anything) and have an “aha” moment which we make a note of  or  send a “Tweet” from our Google Phone. Why? We never know when the next “aha” moment will be and when we get back to the home office at Conker Towers in Manadon Park, Plymouth we like to remember our “brain explosions” and then test them out on our great clients that trust us with their business.

Twitter Plymouth

Twitter from Ab Fab Internet Marketing, SEO, WordPress Blogs and the like

From @plymouthbuzzers

OK Twitter is here to stay most of us know that – point in fact.

I was stood at a bus stop in snowy, icy Derriford, Plymouth recently and wondered if the bus could make it around the corner and up a short hill by Looseleigh Lane – SO I went to Twitter on my Google G1 ‘phone and checked out the Plymouth City Bus “tweets” (twitter messages)

Low and behold Plymouth City Bus have “tweeted” no buses at my stop – I moved onto the next stop and got on the 42 bus

Twitter IS here to stay

Whilst living in the USA (San Francisco Bay Area) some police departments used Twitter to get the news out about crimes or traffic hazards – beat that for instant news.

What next Google Local Radio, Facebook Local Radio  or Twitter Local Radio – my mind boggles……

Now here’s some nonsense we don’t want coming into our vocabulary  ;)  >

Twitter Glossary – Uncommon Terms

In addition to the common terms in the Twitter glossary, it is also relatively common to throw a “Tw” in front of just about anything when it has something to do with Twitter. If you are tweeting while walking, you are “twalking.” And if you have a sweetheart on Twitter they are your “tweetheart.”

Twalking. To tweet while walking.

Twittercal mass. A critical mass of twitter users for a specific topic or community.

Twitterfly. A social butterfly on Twitter.

Twitterish. Erratic behavior prone to outbursts.

Twitterject. To interject your thoughts into a stream of conversation.

Twitterloop. To be brought back into the loop of conversation by being caught up on the tweets.

Twitterphobe. Someone who is fearful or reluctant to join Twitter.

Twitterphoria. Elation felt when someone you follow decides to follow you back.

Twitterstream. The Twitter timeline. This can be applied to the public timeline, your friends’ timeline or the timeline on a specific topic.
